First month update…

Ok… so I’ve done a really, really bad job of blogging lately.

What can I say? I’ve been busy.

All is well on the home front, as both L & E are doing fine.

We had a minor issue with Emerson about a week ago. She started to ...

Life with an easy baby…

Emerson is now nearly two weeks old. And, life has been running very smoothly in Fatherland.

At the heart of it all, E is simply a great baby!

She eats well. After much research and discussion with our (awesome, I might add) pediatrician, Dr. Lipschutz, and experienced moms, we're opted ...

Emerson’s birth story…

All is well with Emerson. I'll post more about the first week later. But, as promised, here are the ‘notes’ I kept on my iPhone (slightly polished and edited) about Libby’s labor and Emerson’s birth story. I wanted to get them online before time slipped away and I forgot.

Saturday, ...

Life at home…

In lieu of writing (which I don't really have time for at the moment), here are a couple of pictures of E getting used to life in her new home.

Playing...

And sleeping....

We’re home…

We were released from the hospital today around 3:30 in the afternoon. We're trying to get ourselves sorted out and settled into a routine. L & E are both doing well.

I have to get back to at least some work duties tomorrow. It's a very busy time for me professionally. ...

All is well in Fatherland…

Well, it's been a busy 46 hours or so since E was born. And, I have much to relate. It's been a happy, exciting, stressful, emotional, overwhelming, joyful, and thankful time -- which I think covers about the first 15 minutes of her life! :-)

Anyway, I'm too tired to write ...

Emerson’s first photos

Here is her first 'official' portrait: :-)

And, for those of you not easily grossed out... some awesome (if I say so myself) photos of her C-section birth.

More to follow later... along with the "rest of the story."

Emerson is here!

I'll fill you all in on the details later, but I'm pleased to announce that Emerson was born at 12:52 this morning via c-section. I'll also post some pictures later this morning. It's now 4ish and we're all a bit tired. But, I won't to post this quick update via ...

Water Broke!

L's water broke at 3:30pm this afternoon. We were at the grocery store! Good times. :-)

We were at the hospital by 4:30. And they started inducing her by 5:30.

So far, no contractions.

More updates (probably after E arrives) later!

No news… is still no news

We're still in a holding pattern just waiting for E to make her grand debut.

As the days tick by, it looks like we'll be headed more and more for the induction on the 9th. I'm not really worried or concerned about what lies ahead. I'm actually feeling pretty calm. ...
