Yeah, the 'stats' seem to have little bearing on the timing of the actual event. Today, tomorrow, next week... who knows?

I'm not sure what my reaction to becoming a father will be. I suspect it will be very emotional. I don't really know. Intellectually, I think I've prepared myself. That is to say, I 'know' that I'm going to be a 'father' in the near future. But, I can't imagine what it will be like at the time when it becomes a tangible reality.

I know the embryo transfer was really amazing to, and suprisingly emotional for, me.

Well, I guess we'll see soon enough, huh? ;-)

@ Myndi & Julia --

Thanks for the support. I think the reality is some people don't like or get 'Emerson' as a name, but I'm satisfied with the fact that our closest friends and people we respect seem to 'get it' immediately and think it (as we do) perfect for a daughter of ours. I'm sure that's 'projecting' on our part to some degree, but really isn't that what all parents do to one degree or another (especially before they're born and you get to 'meet' them)? Oh well, I digress...

I agree -- I don't think it will come to induction. I just can't wait for the 'big day' to finally arrive (or perhaps be over with -- I'm not sure what to make of 'labor' as a process, but it's not called that by accident). Mostly, I'm just hopeful that everything goes smoothly for both mom and baby.

Then I can move on to new things to worry about... ;-)

It's YOUR baby..you name her whatever you like! :) I think Emerson is a nice name. About the gender neutrality, well, how many cute little Madisons are running around out there?
I don't think you'll get as far as an induction...sounds like L is moving right along. Hope this week lands you in L&D. Good luck!

Ok, that was a wonderful retort. And I agree with you...Emerson is more girly. The first and only time I've heard the name was when Teri Hatcher had her daughter. Not that I'm a big Teri fan, I'm just sayin'...

And 2cm is great! Progress is being made and I'm betting she doesn't need any induction. Though I'm definitely unsure on my Wednesday guess...it could be any minute, but I bet it isn't a week from now. YEAH!!! Almost there! Tell L to take it easy and enjoy this last bit of time with the baby kicks. Such a finite period of time.
